Today, we will talk about Korea's organic certification mark.

Most products sold by Organic One have the "organic certification mark" approved by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in Korea.

The eco-friendly organic certification mark is a government-approved label for agricultural and livestock products that use no pesticides, chemical fertilizers, or antibiotics.

Korea's organic certification system is very strict. The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs manages this certification, and farms and processing companies must meet many strict standards to get it.

To get organic certification, *natural fertilizers and biological pest control methods must be used. The use of chemical fertilizers and synthetic pesticides is not allowed. Also, *genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are not permitted. Organic products must not contain GMOs. Various methods to maintain and improve soil health must be used, such as crop rotation and green manure crops.

Additionally, there is a transition period of at least 2-3 years when switching from conventional farming to organic farming. During this period, the use of chemical fertilizers and synthetic pesticides is also prohibited.

The process of getting organic certification involves farms or processing companies submitting an application to the certification body. A document review is conducted based on the submitted materials.

If the document review is passed, an inspector from the certification body visits the site to ensure that organic farming methods are being followed correctly. If all inspections are passed, an organic certificate is issued. The certificate is managed continuously with regular inspections during its validity period.

Even after receiving the certification, regular on-site inspections and document reviews are conducted. If the standards are not met, the certification can be revoked.

Certified farms and processing companies must undergo regular inspections. This can happen every year, and surprise inspections may also occur if needed. Violating organic standards can result in the certification being canceled or fines being imposed.

This thorough management and supervision help increase the reliability of Korean organic products.
